The SMC PU is a compact pulse blow unit that generates a pulsed blast from the compressed air supply alone, with no external power. According to SMC, intermittent blowing improves removal efficiency by 35% compared with continuous blowing and reduces air consumption by up to 50%.
Technical data
- Operating pressure: 0.3 to 0.7 MPa, proof pressure 1.05 MPa
- Connections: inlet R 1/4 (male thread), outlet Rc 1/4 (female thread)
- Pulse frequency: 5 to 10 Hz, adjustable with a rotary knob
- Recommended nozzle: Ø2.0 mm or smaller, effective area 10.3 mm², no extension nozzles
- Supply tubing: inner diameter at least 5 mm, length 5 m at most
- Temperature –5 to 60 °C (no freezing)
- Aluminium body (PU20-R02-B with bracket) or resin version PU20P-B, weight 47 g
- Can be combined with the VMG blow gun (version VMG1-P)
