The SMC CDQ2B-X3150 is an air-saving compact cylinder with a built-in exhaust return circuit: the exhaust air from the extension side is used to supply the retraction side. According to SMC, this reduces air consumption by up to 46%, through piping alone.

- Stroke lengths: 5 to 100 mm (ø50 from 10 mm)
- Operating pressure: 0.4 to 0.7 MPa, proof pressure 1.0 MPa, non-lubricated air
- Temperature: –10 to 60 °C (with auto switch)
- Ports: M5 (ø32, ø40) or Rc 1/8 (ø50), plus an M5 port for the exhaust return
- Minimum theoretical retraction force: 32 N (ø32), 55 N (ø40), 85 N (ø50)
- Horizontal or vertically upward mounting, through-hole version, dimensions as for the CDQ2 series
- Rubber cushioning, D-M9 auto switches can be mounted on three surfaces
Note: residual pressure can remain in the return line; SMC recommends a 3/2-way valve for exhausting. The values are manufacturer data and depend on the individual case.
