The Bürkert SE12 is a paddlewheel transmitter for flow measurement with either an optical or a magnetic measuring principle. It is fitted into the type S012 fitting and together with it forms the type 8012 flow meter.

- Measuring principle: paddle wheel – optical (standard, infrared; with flow direction detection and reverse-flow alarm) or magnetic (on request, for neutral, slightly aggressive, solid-free liquids, without direction detection)
- Fitted into fitting S012 (flow meter type 8012): DN 6–DN 50, DN 65 on request
- Measuring range 0.3–10 m/s; accuracy ±1 % of reading (teach-in) or ±2.5 % (standard K-factor); linearity ±0.5 % of full scale
- Medium temperature: plastic fitting 0 to +60 °C, metal fitting –15 to +100 °C; pressure up to PN 10 (plastic) or PN 16 (metal)
- Outputs: transistor (NPN/PNP) and 4–20 mA; supply 12–36 V DC
- Materials: housing PPS/EPDM, paddle wheel PA, axis ceramic; fitting in brass, stainless steel, PVC, PP or PVDF
- Protection class IP67 (with M12 plug tightened)
