AKO Pinch Valves: Pharmaceutical Industry
In the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector, sensitive products – powders, tablets, liquids and finished goods – must be conveyed under the highest hygiene requirements, often under aseptic or sterile process conditions. Thanks to their modular design, AKO pinch valves can easily be integrated into hygienic design plants and are CIP/SIP-capable, so cleaning and sterilisation are possible directly in the plant. Since the sleeve is the only surface in contact with the product, the risk of contamination is minimised.

Case study
A manufacturer of metal detectors for the food and pharmaceutical industry had to reliably control three different media, both in production and during plant cleaning.
