The SMC ZP3 is a compact vacuum pad for gripping and handling small and medium-sized workpieces. According to SMC it has about 75% less suction area than the ZP series and can be built up to 9 mm shorter with an adapter.
Technical data
- Pad types: flat (for even, non-deformable surfaces), flat with groove (the workpiece can be released more reliably), bellows (for inclined surfaces or when there is no room for a spring element)
- Pad diameters: 1.5, 2, 3.5, 4, 6, 8, 10, 13 and 16 mm
- Materials: NBR (general workpieces, metal sheets, veneer boards), silicone (semiconductors, thin parts, food production), urethane (corrugated board, sheets), FKM (workpieces exposed to chemicals); conductive NBR and silicone to dissipate static charge
- Vacuum connection: male or female thread (M3, M5), barb fitting or push-in fitting (ø2, ø4, ø6 mm)
- Optional spring element (stroke 3, 6, 10, 15, 20 mm), with or without anti-rotation
- Sandblasted suction surface for easier release, mounting lugs, new adapter shape to prevent the pad from coming loose
- ZP3P variant for plastic films, FDA-compliant
- RoHS-compliant
