The SMC IZS is a bar ionizer that creates a curtain of ionised air and neutralises static charge on workpieces and webs. According to SMC the effect reaches up to 2000 mm. Parts and films no longer cling to each other or to the machine.

- IZS40: standard type
- IZS41: with feedback sensor or auto-balance sensor for rapid neutralisation, remote-controllable
- IZS42: dual AC type with low ion amplitude for sensitive electronics, remote-controllable, cannot be combined with the feedback sensor
- 32 standard lengths from 340 to 2500 mm, non-standard lengths via option X10
- Emitter cartridges with tungsten or single-crystal silicon needles, as high-speed or energy-saving type
- IZS41 and IZS42: NPN or PNP input/output, can be linked by cable to a common power supply; no input/output on the IZS40
- Power supply: cable 3 m, 10 m or none (AC adapter sold separately)
- Needle cartridges removable without tools for cleaning or replacement, optional cover to prevent cartridges from dropping out (X14)
- Operation panel with settings and diagnostic LEDs, one-touch fittings in several sizes
Recommended for conveyor lines, film processing, packaging, plastic parts and assembly lines where dust attraction, sticking or discharges are a problem. The values are manufacturer data and depend on the individual case.
