The SMC IBV is a stationary impact blow valve for machines and plants: it produces a short blast of air with high peak pressure and needs no tank for this, using the piping instead. SMC states a 93% reduction in air consumption compared with continuous blowing (test condition 0.5 MPa).
Technical data
- Versions: electrically operated (e.g. IBV10F-5L, -5LO, -5WA, -5WAO, 24 V DC) and air operated (IBV11F)
- Electrical connection: L plug connector with 300 mm lead wire or M8 connector
- Peak pressure: 2 to 3 times or more higher than the previous model
- Blow force adjustable via bore size and supply pipe length
- Compact design without its own tank
- Additional version with press plate for separating stuck workpieces, also with oil-based coolants
Typical applications: bottle cleaning, blowing off water droplets, removing foreign matter and dust, chip removal in machining and sorting parts. The values are manufacturer data and depend on the individual case.
