The SMC IRV is a vacuum regulator that limits the vacuum at the pads to a set value. Sensitive, thin or easily deformed parts are held with constant force and not damaged by excessive vacuum.

- Setting range: –100 to –1.3 kPa (depending on the pressure on the vacuum pump side)
- Setting resolution at the knob: 0.13 kPa or finer
- Flow: max. 140 l/min (ANR) on the IRV10, 240 l/min (ANR) on the IRV20
- Ambient and fluid temperature: 5 to 60 °C
- Weight without accessories: approx. 135 g (IRV10) or approx. 250 g (IRV20), depending on connection type
