The SMC IBG is an impact blow gun: a built-in tank delivers a short, powerful blast of air with high peak pressure. According to SMC, it can save up to 87% compressed air compared with conventional blow guns.

- Versions: IBG1 (high peak pressure, 100 cm³ tank) and IBG2 (compact, 70 cm³ tank)
- Variants: IBG10/IBG20 (without adjuster), IBG11/IBG21 (with adjuster), IBG22 (with pulse function, 1–8 Hz)
- Operating pressure: 0.1 to 0.7 MPa, proof pressure 1.05 MPa
- Peak pressure: IBG1 at least 3 times, IBG2 at least 2.5 times higher than the VMG blow gun
- Sound pressure level: 80 dB(A) or less (long nozzle with silencer)
- Connection: Rc, NPT or G 3/8 (IBG1) or 1/4 (IBG2), alternatively one-touch fitting ø6 to ø10 mm
- Weight: 300 to 400 g depending on version
- Fluid air, fluid and ambient temperature 5 to 60 °C
Recommended for blowing off chips, water droplets and contamination in production where conventional blow guns use unnecessarily large amounts of compressed air. The values are manufacturer data and depend on the individual case.
